Model Ship Yard
The designers of the much acclaimed STEPHENS & KENAU™ range of museum quality Historic Sailing Ship Models are situated on the South Coast of the Cape of Good Hope in Mossel Bay, South Africa. The studio is part of the Mossel Bay Maritime Museum complex which homes a full size replica of the Bartholomew Diaz Caravel. Bartholomew Diaz discovered the Southern Passage to the East around The Cape of Good Hope, which he initially coined the Cape of Storms.
The studio is designed in such a way to allow visitors to walk through and watch the craftsmen at work. A visit to the studio is a must when touring the Garden Route.
